1. Information We Collect

When you use CalDate, we collect the following information:

• Account information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account.
• Booking information: Names, email addresses, and any notes provided by guests who book meetings with you.
• Calendar data: When you connect Google Calendar, we access your calendar's free/busy information to show accurate availability. We also create calendar events for confirmed bookings.
• Usage data: Basic server logs including IP addresses and request timestamps for security and debugging purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the scheduling service — displaying your availability and processing bookings.
• To send email confirmations and notifications related to bookings.
• To sync with your connected calendar integrations.
• To maintain and improve the service.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following cases:

• With booking participants: When a guest books a meeting, both parties receive each other's name and email.
• Service providers: We use Resend for email delivery and Google APIs for calendar integration. These providers process data on our behalf.
• Legal requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on secured infrastructure. We use HTTPS for all communications and bcrypt for password hashing. Calendar OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest.

5. Third-Party Integrations

When you connect Google Calendar or Zoom, you authorize CalDate to access specific scopes (calendar read/write, meeting creation). You can revoke this access at any time through your Google or Zoom account settings.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data and booking history for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can export your booking data as CSV from the dashboard at any time.
